The original charter of the Washington Suburban Master Plumbers Association was signed on August 8, 1938. Its objectives and purposes remain the same “to unite in the bonds of fellowship, all persons, firms, and corporations, operating in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties, practically engaged in conducting the business of plumbing; to benefit mutually its members by thoroughly discussing all the scientific and technical principals embraced in, and fundamental to, the proper construction of all plumbing work; to use the combined effort of the membership to help the profession to that high standard of excellence which its universal use and inherent utility entitle it.”
